Ms. Mello is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of international experience in financial services, advising business families on complex decision-making across business, wealth, and ownership matters. An expert in mediation, coaching and facilitation, Ms. Mello is known for navigating sensitive family dynamics and fostering productive communication across generations. She is a certified mediator and systemic coach, with a track record of helping individuals and teams develop emotional intelligence, leadership, and relational skills. Ms. Mello is particularly skilled at translating complex financial and emotional issues into clear, actionable conversations. Passionate about people and performance, she empowers family business leaders to build trust, resolve conflict, and drive sustainable success across the family enterprise system.
For nearly two decades, Ms. Mello built a distinguished career in commercial banking, holding senior leadership roles – at UBS, Credit Suisse, and Lloyds Bank, with postings in Brazil, the Bahamas, and Switzerland – leading teams, driving business development, and managing key client relationships. She later transitioned to the business school of a major financial institution, where she designed and delivered training programs for thousands of professionals. This unique blend of commercial acumen and educational expertise allows her to support family businesses not just with strategy, but also with the human skills required to implement it.
Ms. Mello holds a BS in Business Administration from FESP Universidade in Brazil and has continued her professional development with certifications in MBTI (London), Mediation (São Paulo), and Systemic Coaching from the ISB in Wiesloch, Germany. She an active alumna of the Modern Elder Academy (MEA), where she engages in thought leadership around life transitions—a perspective she brings into her work with multigenerational families navigating change and succession.
She is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German, and has a basic level of fluency in French.
