Dr. Carlos Davidovich is a senior advisor at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, a highly specialized global advisory firm serving family enterprises. Cambridge Advisors and Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise, an education and research institute, are divisions of Cambridge Family Enterprise Group (CFEG), a global organization founded in 1989. It is devoted to helping families and ownership groups navigate the new economy and achieve multigenerational success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth.
Dr. Davidovich has advised family-owned enterprises and leadership teams across Europe, North America, and Latin America on strategies for organizational transformation, leadership effectiveness, and the human dimensions of succession and generational transition. Drawing on his background in medicine, neuroscience, and executive coaching, Dr. Davidovich brings a distinctive, science-based approach to the challenges that family enterprises face when navigating change, from leadership development and interpersonal dynamics within ownership groups to the behavioral and psychological dimensions of governance. He works with family businesses at critical inflection points – including succession processes, integration of next-generation leaders, and management of conflict within family systems – helping clients achieve durable, evidence-based solutions that strengthen both family cohesion and enterprise performance. Dr. Davidovich has extensive experience lecturing on and teaching leadership and executive coaching for senior leadership across diverse, multicultural organizations.
Prior to his work in executive coaching and neuromanagement, Dr. Davidovich held senior leadership positions for more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector, including executive roles at Hoffman-La Roche, Pharmacia Corporation, and Gentron Ltd., a biotechnology start-up based in Delaware, where he served as CEO. He has extensive international management experience, leading teams in marketing, sales, and research and development within highly regulated, cross-cultural environments. From 2013 to 2020, Dr. Davidovich served as Vice-President of Executive Coaching Practice and Director of the Neuromanagement Centre at Optimum Talent, one of Canada's leading talent advisory firms, where he coached C-suite executives across major Canadian corporations.
Dr. Davidovich is a professor of neuromanagement in MBA programs at the University of New York in Prague, GEA in Ljubljana, and Bucharest International School of Management. He is a recognized thought leader with the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, in the application of neuroscience to organizational leadership and family enterprise dynamics.
Dr. Davidovich authored Five-Brain Leadership: How Neuroscience Can Help You Master Your Instincts and Build Better Teams and co-authored PersonalityDNA: Discover Your True Personality, both of which inform his advisory and educational work. He is also an international TEDx speaker on leadership and the neuroscience of human behavior.
Dr. Davidovich holds Senior Practitioner accreditation from the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and is a certified Expert Practitioner and Master Level Coach of the SuccessFinder Career System, with more than 800 individual and team assessment debriefings conducted across international organizations, providing family enterprises and their leadership teams with evidence-based insight into talent, succession readiness, and interpersonal alignment.
Dr. Davidovich holds an MD from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, with specialization in Internal Medicine; an MBA from Business School Lausanne, as part of the Executive Development Program at Hoffman – La Roche; and a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Psychopathology from the University of Barcelona. Dr. Davidovich resides in Madrid and is a fluent English speaker.
