Daniel Salazar is an Associate Advisor at Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise, a leading education and research institute dedicated to the significant issues family enterprises face. Mr. Salazar advises family-owned enterprises on the strategies for the successful continuity of their enterprises. He supports families and ownership groups in analyzing enterprise performance, strengthening governance and decision-making processes, and aligning business strategy with owners’ long-term objectives.
Previously, Mr. Salazar developed his career in investment banking and within a family office environment. He held investment roles at a boutique investment bank and a single-family office, where he participated in M&A transactions. In these roles, he supported transaction execution, conducted financial and operational analyses, contributed to portfolio monitoring, and participated in the design and implementation of operational and financial optimization strategies across portfolio companies. He also supported reporting processes between management teams, investment committees, and owners.
Mr. Salazar holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and a BA in Economics with a minor in Government and Public Affairs, from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
