Oscar Rodríguez is a senior advisor and associate partner at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, a highly specialized international advisory firm serving family enterprises. Cambridge Advisors and Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise, an education and research institute, are divisions of Cambridge Family Enterprise Group, a global organization founded in 1989. It is devoted to helping families achieve multigenerational success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth.

Based in Madrid, Mr. Rodríguez advises family-owned enterprises around the world on strategies for strengthening their boards, growing and passing their enterprises to the next generation, improving their business strategy, and optimizing the business portfolio.

Mr. Rodríguez currently serves on the board of advisors of the Rodobens Group, a multibillion-dollar family-controlled conglomerate, which is a regional leader in the automotive, financial, and real estate sectors in South America. At Rodobens, he is also the leader of the strategy committee and of the finance, auditing and risk committee of the board. As chairman of the board representing Santander Bank, he led the creation of a joint venture with the controlling family of Bonsucesso Bank in Brazil and dealt with the challenges of transforming a traditional family business into an organization with more advanced governance, reporting, and execution. He is a frequent speaker at Financial Times seminars for top executives of corporations and a member of the Spanish Institute for Board Members and Administrators.

An accomplished senior executive in global banking and strategic consulting with over 22 years of international experience, Mr. Rodríguez served in various executive positions at Santander Bank, and as a consultant with McKinsey & Co in Miami, Lisbon, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile and Madrid. At McKinsey & Co, his experience included helping clients define their business strategy, launch new operations, manage post-M&A integration and optimize their business portfolio. Mr. Rodríguez also has extensive experience in risk governance and establishing and nurturing senior management relationships.

Mr. Rodríguez earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his Licenciatura in Business Administration from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (“CUNEF”) in Spain. He has lived and worked in the United States, Spain, and Brazil. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
