Marcelo Urjel is Advisor at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, a highly specialized international advisory firm serving family enterprises. Alongside Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise, an education and research institute, both organizations are divisions of Cambridge Family Enterprise Group, a global organization founded in 1989. It is devoted to helping families achieve multigenerational success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth.

Mr. Urjel advises family-owned enterprises on strategies for the successful continuity of their enterprises. He performs assessments of family business strategies; designs the strategic vision for family companies; advises on best practices; facilitates strategic and operational meetings between family, business, and ownership stakeholders; and leads families and management teams through strategic and tactical challenges. He assists family businesses in navigating strategic business challenges from developing growth strategies to implementing processes across the organization.

Prior to joining Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, Mr. Urjel established and led the consulting practice, dPoint Consulting, which focused on strategic advisory, strategic due diligence, market research and competitive analysis, business performance improvement, and data and analytics driven strategy. Before dPoint Consulting, he co-owned and founded Great Circle Coffee, a small-batch coffee roaster, and held strategic management positions at TD Bank. Mr. Urjel began his career in consulting at globally recognized companies such as IBM, Addvisory Group, and International Data Corporation (IDC).

Mr. Urjel holds an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Diego-Portales in Santiago, Chile. He completed the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification program from the Ateneo University Graduate School of Business in Manila, Philippines. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and has basic fluency in Portuguese.
