Gilda Alves is a senior advisor at Cambridge Family Enterprise Group-Brazil, a highly specialized, international advisory, education and research organization serving family enterprises. Founded in 1989, it is devoted to helping families achieve multigenerational success for their families, enterprises, and financial wealth.
For 5 years, Mrs. Alves has helped multigenerational families and family-owned businesses on business strategies and performance improvement, governance structure and ownership strategies.
In 2014, Gilda Alves joined Bridge Business Advisors (now CFEG). Since then, she has participated in corporate and governance projects, and was a team leader in some of them. In companies in different industries, she used methodologies focused on corporate strategy, performance improvement, cost reduction and strategic sourcing. Mrs. Alves also has experience in corporate, ownership and family governance structuring projects – committees, dashboards, agreements, policies and processes. Furthermore, Gilda has recently participated in the development of financial models and analysis related to owner’s portfolio strategy.
Prior to joining Bridge Business Advisors, Mrs. Alves worked in different functions and industries. From 2011 to 2014, she participated in the roll-out in Brazil and the IPO of a Chicago-based startup, Groupon. There, Mrs. Alves was a leader in the areas of Sales (local and regional), Sales Planning and After Sales teams. Prior to that, Gilda worked as a performance management analyst in a based steel producer called Usiminas. Gilda was also a McKinsey fellow for 12 months as a full-time member of 3 projects in the steel industry.
Mrs. Alves has an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral and has earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. She speaks English & Portuguese.
