Ashlee Woods is a senior advisor at Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, a highly specialized global advisory firm serving family enterprises. Ms. Woods has over 10 years of experience advising multigenerational families on the opportunities and challenges of owning a family business. Her expertise spans governance, succession planning, impact investing, philanthropy, and women and wealth. She facilitates important family discussions, helps families build consensus, and supports the implementation of owners’ decisions and strategies that enable families to grow and transition their enterprises across generations.
Ms. Woods guides families in designing governance and succession strategies that promote unity, facilitate informed decision-making, and prepare both the family and the enterprise for milestones and transitions. Ms. Woods’ focus on social impact helps families align their financial resources and investment capital with their values and long-term objectives. This holistic approach integrates financial stewardship with values-based decision-making, ensuring both optimized financial returns and meaningful societal contributions. Prior to joining CFEG, Ms. Woods served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Family Office Services at Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank. In this role, she led a multi-disciplinary team that offered strategic guidance and comprehensive services to ultra-high-net-worth families, focusing on governance frameworks, legacy planning, and tailored philanthropic strategies. During her time at U.S. Bank, she also led the bank's advisory practice for women, training advisors bank-wide on how to work with women of wealth. Ms. Woods previously held leadership positions as Vice President of Philanthropic Services at Wells Fargo, where she provided specialized advisory services, and as Assistant Dean at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she oversaw strategic initiatives and cultivated partnerships. Additionally, as a Senior Philanthropy Advisor at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, she offered strategic planning and philanthropic guidance for a grantmaking portfolio of high-profile foundations, corporations, and donors, while launching impactful community initiatives.
Ms. Woods earned her JD and a graduate certificate in Dispute Resolution from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She holds a graduate certificate in Charitable Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Ms. Woods is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®).
